كتاب العين
Yahia Ibn Sa'id a rapporté qu'un homme, du temps de l'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) fut frappé par la mort. Un autre homme dit: «Que le bonheur lui soit accordé, il est mort sans souffrir d'une maladie». L'Envoyé d'Allah r (salallahou alayhi wa salam) (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) dit alors: «malheur à toi! Comment peux-tu savoir, que si Allah, lui avait fait éprouver une maladie, qu'il lui ait, par là, effacé toutes ses mauvaises actions». Chapitre IV Du refuge et de l'exorcisme au cours d'une maladie

Texte arabe original
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، جَاءَهُ الْمَوْتُ فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ هَنِيئًا لَهُ مَاتَ وَلَمْ يُبْتَلَ بِمَرَضٍ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَيْحَكَ وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَوْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ ابْتَلاَهُ بِمَرَضٍ يُكَفِّرُ بِهِ مِنْ سَيِّئَاتِهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that death came to a man in the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. A man said, "He was fortunate," as he had died without being tried by illness. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Alas for you, what will let you know that if Allah had tried him with illness, He would have wiped out his wrong actions
Traduction en ourdou
یحیی بن سعید سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص مر گیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ایک شخص بولا واہ کیا اچھی موت ہوئی نہ کچھ بیماری ہوئی نہ کچھ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا بھلا یہ کیا کہتا ہے تجھے کیا معلوم ہے کہ اگر جل جلالہ اس کو کسی بیماری میں مبتلا کرتا تو اس کے گناہوں کو معاف کرتا ہے۔
