كتاب الجهاد
Yahia Ibn Sa'id a rapporté: «Quand ce fut le jour de Ouhod, l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) s'adressant aux fidèles, dit: «Qui peut m'apporter des nouvelles de Sa'd Ibn Al-Rabi' Al-Ansari»? Un homme répondit: «Moi, O Envoyé d'Allah». L'homme partit, cherchant parmi les tués. Sa'd Ibn Al Rabi' lui demanda: «Que veux-tu»? L'homme répondit: «L'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) m'a chargé de lui apporter de tes nouvelles». Sa'd répliqua: «Retournes chez lui, transmets-lui mon salut, et dis-lui que j'ai reçu douze coups de lance qui pouvaient causer ma mort, mais j'ai été sauvé. Rapporte à tes concitoyens, qu'ils ne seront jamais excusés auprès d'Allah, si L'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) est tué, et que l'un de vous restera vivant»

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ أُحُدٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ سَعْدِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . فَذَهَبَ الرَّجُلُ يَطُوفُ بَيْنَ الْقَتْلَى فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ مَا شَأْنُكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ بَعَثَنِي إِلَيْكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لآتِيَهُ بِخَبَرِكَ . قَالَ فَاذْهَبْ إِلَيْهِ فَأَقْرِئْهُ مِنِّي السَّلاَمَ وَأَخْبِرْهُ أَنِّي قَدْ طُعِنْتُ اثْنَتَىْ عَشْرَةَ طَعْنَةً وَأَنِّي قَدْ أُنْفِذَتْ مَقَاتِلِي وَأَخْبِرْ قَوْمَكَ أَنَّهُ لاَ عُذْرَ لَهُمْ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ إِنْ قُتِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَوَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمْ حَىٌّ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik that Yahya ibn Said said, "On the Day of Uhud, The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Who will bring me news of Sad ibn al-Rabi al-Ansari?' a man said, 'Me, Messenger of Allah!' So the man went around among the slain, and Sad ibn al-Rabi said to him, 'What are you doing?' The man said to him, 'The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent me to bring him news of you.' He said, 'Go to him, and give him my greetings, and tell him that I have been stabbed twelve times, and am mortally wounded. Tell your people that they will have no excuse with Allah if the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is slain while one of them is still alive
Traduction en ourdou
یحیی بن سعید سے روایت ہے کہ جنگ احد کے روز آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کون خبر لا کر دیتا ہے مجھ کو سعد بن ربیع انصاری کی ایک شخص نے کہا یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میں دوں گا وہ جا کر لاشوں میں ڈھونڈھنے لگا سعد نے کہا کہ کیا کام ہے؟ اس شخص نے کہا مجھ کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تمہاری خبر لینے کو بھیجا ہے کہا کہ تم جاؤ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس اور میرا سلام عرض کرو اور کہو کہ مجھے بارہ زخم برچھوں کے لگے ہیں اور میرے زخم کاری ہیں اپنی قوم سے کہ اللہ جل جلالہ کے سامنے تمہارا کوئی عذر قبول نہ ہوگا اگر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم شہید ہوئے اور تم میں سے ایک بھی زندہ رہا ۔
