Jaber Ibn Abdallah a rapporté qu'il a vu l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam),r accomplir trois tournées d'un pas accéléré autour de la Maison, en considérant la Pierre Noire comme point de départ». Malek a dit: «cela ne cesse d'être suivi à Médine»

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَمَلَ مِنَ الْحَجَرِ الأَسْوَدِ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ ثَلاَثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Jafar ibn Muhammad from his father that Jabir ibn Abdullah said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, hastening from the Black Stone until he reached it again, three times." Malik said, "This is what is still done by the people of knowledge in our city
