كتاب الصوم
Abdallah Ibn Abbas a rapporté que, l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) quitta pour la Mecque, l'an de la conquête, au mois de Ramadan. Il demeura à jeun, jusqu'à son arrivée à «Al-Kadid», où il le rompit, et les gens firent de même. Ils ne faisaient que suivre la tradition la plus récente de l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam).r

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَرَجَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فِي رَمَضَانَ فَصَامَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ الْكَدِيدَ ثُمَّ أَفْطَرَ فَأَفْطَرَ النَّاسُ وَكَانُوا يَأْخُذُونَ بِالأَحْدَثِ فَالأَحْدَثِ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud from Abdullah ibn Abbas that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, left for Makka in Ramadan during the year of the conquest, and fasted until he reached al-Kadid. He then broke the fast, and so everyone else did so as well. What people used to do was act according to whatever the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had done most recently

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نکلے مکہ کو جس سال مکہ فتح ہوا رمضان میں تو روزہ رکھا یہاں تک کہ پہنچے کدید کو پھر افطار کیا تو لوگوں نے بھی افطار کیا اور صحابہ کا یہ قاعدہ تھا کہ نئے کام کو لیتے تھے پھر لیا اس نئے کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کاموں میں
