Ibn Chéhab a rapporté: «On me fit savoir que l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) avait perçu la capitation des mages de «Bahrain». Et que Omar Ibn Al-Khattab l'avait perçue des mages de «Perse» et Osman Ibn Affan, des «Berbères»

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَخَذَ الْجِزْيَةَ مِنْ مَجُوسِ الْبَحْرَيْنِ وَأَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَخَذَهَا مِنْ مَجُوسِ فَارِسَ وَأَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ أَخَذَهَا مِنَ الْبَرْبَرِ .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik that Ibn Shihab said, "I have heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, took jizya from the magians of Bahrain, that Umar ibn al- Khattab took it from the magians of Persia and that Uthman ibn Affan took it from the Berbers

ابن شہاب سے روایت ہے کہ پہنچا مجھ کو کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جزیہ لیا بحرین کے مجوس سے اور عمر بن خطاب نے جزیہ لیا فارس کے مجوس سے اور عثمان بن عفان نے جزیہ لیا بربر سے ۔
