كتاب الجنائز
Hicham a rapporté que son père a dit: «Deux hommes se trouvaient à Médine; l'un creusait des fosses pour les tombes et l'autre ne le faisait pas. Lors de la mort de l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah) les hommes dirent: «Celui qui est le premier, à arriver, pourra agir comme il a l'habitude de la faire». Comme celui qui creusait arriva le premier, il creusa une fosse pour l'Envoyé d'Allah (salallahou alayhi wa salam) r (Sur lui la grâce et la paix d'Allah)

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ كَانَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلاَنِ أَحَدُهُمَا يَلْحَدُ وَالآخَرُ لاَ يَلْحَدُ فَقَالُوا أَيُّهُمَا جَاءَ أَوَّلُ عَمِلَ عَمَلَهُ . فَجَاءَ الَّذِي يَلْحَدُ فَلَحَدَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Traduction anglaise
Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that his father said, "There were two men in Madina, one of whom dug graves with a niche in the side wall for the body, and the other who did not, and they said, 'Whichever one comes first can do the job,' and the one who dug graves with a niche came first and dug the Messenger of Allah's grave, may Allah bless him and grant him peace
Traduction en ourdou
عروہ بن زبیر سے روایت ہے کہ دو آدمی قبر کھود نے والے تھے ایک ان میں سے بغلی بناتا تھا اور دوسرا نہیں بناتا تھا لوگوں نے کہا جو پہلے آئے گا وہی اپنا کام شروع کرے گا تو پہلے وہی آیا جو بغلی بناتا تھا پس قبر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بغلی بنائی ۔ امام مالک کو پہنچا کہ بی بی ام سلمہ کہتی تھیں مجھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی وفات کا یقین نہیں یہاں تک کہ میں نے کدال مارنے کی آواز سنی ۔
