Hadith 6979 — Livre 50: The Book of Repentance

Rapporté par ‘Ala’, d’après son père, d’après Abu Huraira رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : « Si un croyant connaissait la punition (en Enfer), personne n’oserait espérer le Paradis, mais il souhaiterait seulement être sauvé de l’Enfer. Et si un non-croyant connaissait la miséricorde qu’Allah détient, personne ne désespérerait d’entrer au Paradis. »

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ، وَابْنُ، حُجْرٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ ابْنُ أَيُّوبَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْعَلاَءُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الْعُقُوبَةِ مَا طَمِعَ بِجَنَّتِهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْكَافِرُ مَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ مَا قَنِطَ مِنْ جَنَّتِهِ أَحَدٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
Ala' reported on the authority of his father who reported on the authority of Abu Huraira that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said:If a believer were to know the punishment (in Hell) none would have the audacity to aspire for Paradise (but he would earnestly desire to be rescued from Hell), and if a non-believer were to know what is there with Allah as a mercy. none would have been disappointed in regard to Paradise
Traduction en ourdou
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " اگر مومن کو یہ علم ہو جائے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے پاس سزا کیا ہے تو کوئی شخص اس کی جنت کی امید ہی نہ رکھے ، اور اگر کافر کو یہ پتہ چل جائے کہ اللہ کے پاس رحمت کس قدر ہے تو کوئی ایک بھی اس کی جنت سے مایوس نہ ہو ۔
