Hadith 6491 — Livre 44: The Book of the Merits of the Companions
كتاب فضائل الصحابة
Rapporté par Omar b. Khattab رضي الله عنه : J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah ﷺ dire : « Parmi les meilleurs de la génération suivante, il y aura un homme appelé Uwais. Sa mère sera vivante et il aura une petite marque de lèpre. Demandez-lui d’implorer le pardon d’Allah pour vous. »

حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ سَلَمَةَ - عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ خَيْرَ التَّابِعِينَ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ أُوَيْسٌ وَلَهُ وَالِدَةٌ وَكَانَ بِهِ بَيَاضٌ فَمُرُوهُ فَلْيَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
Umar b. Khattab reported:I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: Worthy amongst the successors would be a person who would be called Uwais. He would have his mother (living with him) and he would have (a small) sign of leprosy. Ask him to beg pardon for you (from Allah)
Traduction en ourdou
حماد بن سلمہ نے سعید جریری سے اسی سند کےساتھ حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : سیدنا عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہا : کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فرماتے تھے کہ تابعین میں ایک بہترین شخص ہے جس کو اویس کہتے ہیں ، اس کی ایک ماں ہے ( یعنی رشتہ داروں میں سے صرف ماں زندہ ہو گی ) اور اس کو ایک سفیدی ہو گی ۔ تم اس سے کہنا کہ تمہارے لئے دعا کرے ۔
