كتاب الأشربة
Rapporté par Abu Huraira : Un invité a passé la nuit chez un homme parmi les Ansar, qui n’avait de nourriture que pour lui-même et ses enfants. Il a dit à sa femme : « Endors les enfants, éteins la lampe et sers l’invité avec ce que tu as. » C’est à cette occasion que ce verset a été révélé : « Ils donnent la préférence aux autres, même s’ils sont eux-mêmes dans le besoin. » (Sourate 59, verset)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ غَزْوَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي، حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، . أَنَّ رَجُلاً، مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ بَاتَ بِهِ ضَيْفٌ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ عِنْدَهُ إِلاَّ قُوتُهُ وَقُوتُ صِبْيَانِهِ فَقَالَ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ نَوِّمِي الصِّبْيَةَ وَأَطْفِئِي السِّرَاجَ وَقَرِّبِي لِلضَّيْفِ مَا عِنْدَكِ - قَالَ - فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ { وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ}
Traduction anglaise
Abu Huraira reported that a guest spent the night with a person from the Ansar who had nothing with him but food (sufficient) for his own self and his children. He said to his wife:(Lull) the children to sleep, and put out the lamp, and serve the guest with what you have with you. It was on this occasion that this verse was revealed:" Those who prefer the needy to their own selves in spite of the fact that they are themselves in pressing need" (Lix)
Traduction en ourdou
وکیع نے فضیل بن غزوان سے ، انھوں نے ابوحازم سے ، انھوں نےابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سےروایت کی کہ انصار میں سے ایک آدمی کے پاس ایک مہمان نے رات گزاری ، ان کے پاس صرف اپنا اور بچوں کا کھاناتھا ، اس نے اپنی بیوی سے کہا ، بچوں کو سلا دو اور چراغ بھجادو اورجو کھانا تمہارے پاس ہے وہ مہمان کے قریب کردو ، تب یہ آیت نازل ہوئی : وَيُؤْثِرُونَ عَلَىٰ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَلَوْ كَانَ بِهِمْ خَصَاصَةٌ " وہ ( دوسروں کو ) خود پرترجیح دیتے ہیں چاہے انھیں سخت احتیاج لاحق ہو ۔
