Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar رضي الله عنه : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a organisé une course de chevaux spécialement entraînés de Hafya’ à Thaniyyat al-Wada’ (le point d’arrivée), et une autre course de chevaux non entraînés de Thaniyya à la mosquée des Banu Zuraiq. Ibn 'Umar faisait partie des participants à cette course

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى التَّمِيمِيُّ، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، . أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَابَقَ بِالْخَيْلِ الَّتِي قَدْ أُضْمِرَتْ مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ وَكَانَ أَمَدُهَا ثَنِيَّةَ الْوَدَاعِ وَسَابَقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ الَّتِي لَمْ تُضْمَرْ مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ فِيمَنْ سَابَقَ بِهَا .
Traduction anglaise
It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) had a race of the horses which had been especially prepared for the purpose from Hafya' to Thaniyyat al-Wada' (the latter being the winning post), and of those which had not been trained from Thaniyya to the mosque of Banu Zuraiq, and Ibn Umar was among those who took part in this race

امام مالک نے نافع سے ، انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایسے گھوڑوں کی حفیاء کے مقام سے مسابقت ( دوڑ ) کروائی جنہیں ( عربی طریقے سے ) فالتو چربی زائل کر کے سبک اندام بنایا گیا تھا ۔ ان کی دوڑ ثنیۃ الوداع تک تھی اور جن کو سبک اندام نہ بنایا گیا تھا ان کی دوڑ ثنیہ سے مسجد بنی زُریق تک کرائی ۔ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ ان میں شامل تھے جنہوں نے گھوڑے دوڑائے ۔
