كتاب الرضاع
Rapporté par Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah رضي الله عنهما : ‘Abdullah est mort en laissant derrière lui neuf ou sept filles. J’ai épousé une femme qui avait déjà été mariée. Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ m’a dit : « Jabir, t’es-tu marié ? » J’ai répondu : « Oui. » Il a demandé : « Avec une vierge ou une femme déjà mariée ? » J’ai répondu : « Avec une femme déjà mariée. » Il a dit : « Pourquoi n’as-tu pas épousé une jeune fille, pour que tu puisses t’amuser avec elle et qu’elle s’amuse avec toi, ou que tu puisses la divertir et qu’elle te divertisse ? » J’ai répondu : « ‘Abdullah est mort (en martyr à Uhud) et a laissé derrière lui neuf ou sept filles ; je n’ai donc pas voulu ramener une jeune fille comme elles, mais j’ai préféré épouser une femme qui puisse s’occuper d’elles et leur enseigner de bonnes manières. » Le Prophète ﷺ a alors dit : « Qu’Allah te bénisse », ou il a invoqué le bien pour moi

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ، قَالَ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، هَلَكَ وَتَرَكَ تِسْعَ بَنَاتٍ - أَوْ قَالَ سَبْعَ - فَتَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً ثَيِّبًا فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَا جَابِرُ تَزَوَّجْتَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " فَبِكْرٌ أَمْ ثَيِّبٌ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ بَلْ ثَيِّبٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " فَهَلاَّ جَارِيَةً تُلاَعِبُهَا وَتُلاَعِبُكَ " . أَوْ قَالَ " تُضَاحِكُهَا وَتُضَاحِكُكَ " . قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ هَلَكَ وَتَرَكَ تِسْعَ بَنَاتٍ - أَوْ سَبْعَ - وَإِنِّي كَرِهْتُ أَنْ آتِيَهُنَّ أَوْ أَجِيئَهُنَّ بِمِثْلِهِنَّ فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَجِيءَ بِامْرَأَةٍ تَقُومُ عَلَيْهِنَّ وَتُصْلِحُهُنَّ . قَالَ " فَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ " . أَوْ قَالَ لِي خَيْرًا وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ " تُلاَعِبُهَا وَتُلاَعِبُكَ وَتُضَاحِكُهَا وَتُضَاحِكُكَ " .
Traduction anglaise
Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported:'Abdullah died and he left (behind him) nine or seven daughters. I married a woman who had been previously married. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to me: Jabir, have you married? I said: Yes. He (again) said: A virgin or one previously married? I said: Messenger of Allah, with one who was previously married, whereupon he said: Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you could sport with her and she could sport with you, or you could amuse with her and she could amuse with you? I said to him: 'Abdullah died (he fell as martyr in Uhud) and left nine or seven daughters behind him; I, therefore, did not approve of the idea that I should bring a (girl) like them, but I preferred to bring a woman who should look after them and teach them good manners, whereupon he (Allah's Messenger) said: May Allah bless you, or he supplicated (for the) good (to be) conferred on me (by Allah)

یحییٰ بن یحییٰ اور ابو ربیع زہرانی نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ، یحییٰ نے کہا : حماد بن زید نے ہمیں عمرو بن دینار سے خبر دی ، انہوں نے حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ ( میرے والد ) عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے وفات پائی اور پیچھے نو بیٹیاں ۔ ۔ یا کہا : سات بیٹیاں ۔ ۔ چھوڑیں تو میں نے ایک ثیبہ ( دوہاجو ) عورت سے نکاح کر لیا ۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھ سے پوچھا : "" جابر! نکاح کر لیا ہے؟ "" میں نے عرض کی : جی ہاں ۔ آپ نے پوچھا : "" کنواری ہے یا دوہاجو؟ "" میں نے عرض کی : اللہ کے رسول! دوہاجو ہے ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : "" کنواری کیوں نہیں ، تم اس سے دل لگی کرتے ، وہ تم سے دل لگی کرتی ۔ ۔ یا فرمایا : تم اس کے ساتھ ہنستے کھیلتے ، وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہنستی کھیلتی ۔ ۔ "" میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کی : ( میرے والد ) عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے وفات پائی اور پیچھے نو ۔ ۔ یا سات ۔ ۔ بیٹیاں چھوڑیں ، تو میں نے اچھا نہ سمجھا کہ میں ان کے پاس انہی جیسی ( کم عمر ) لے آؤں ۔ میں نے چاہا کہ ایسی عورت لاؤں جو ان کی نگہداشت کرے اور ان کی اصلاح کرے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : "" اللہ تمہیں برکت دے! "" یا آپ نے میرے لیے خیر اور بھلائی کی دعا فرمائی ۔ اور ابوربیع کی روایت میں ہے : "" تم اس کے ساتھ دل لگی کرتے وہ تمہارے ساتھ دل لگی کرتی اور تم اس کے ساتھ ہنستے کھیلتے ، وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہنستی کھیلتی
