Hadith 2226 — Livre 11: The Book of Prayer - Funerals
كتاب الجنائز
Rapporté par Ibn Abu Laila : Alors que Qais b. Sa'd et Sahl b. Hunaif étaient à Qadisiyya, un cercueil est passé devant eux et ils se sont levés. On leur a dit que c’était le cercueil d’un habitant du pays (non-musulman). Ils ont répondu : « Un cercueil est passé devant le Prophète ﷺ et il s’est levé. On lui a dit que c’était un Juif. Il a alors dit : “N’était-il pas un être humain, n’avait-il pas une âme ?” » Et dans le hadith rapporté par 'Amr b. Murra avec la même chaîne, il est dit : « Un cercueil est passé devant nous. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، أَنَّ قَيْسَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، وَسَهْلَ بْنَ حُنَيْفٍ، كَانَا بِالْقَادِسِيَّةِ فَمَرَّتْ بِهِمَا جَنَازَةٌ فَقَامَا فَقِيلَ لَهُمَا إِنَّهَا مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ . فَقَالاَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّتْ بِهِ جَنَازَةٌ فَقَامَ فَقِيلَ إِنَّهُ يَهُودِيٌّ . فَقَالَ " أَلَيْسَتْ نَفْسًا " . وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّاءَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَفِيهِ فَقَالاَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَمَرَّتْ عَلَيْنَا جَنَازَةٌ .
Traduction anglaise
It is narrated on the authority of Ibn Abu Laila that while Qais b. Sa'd and Sahl b. Hunaif were both in Qadislyya a bier passed by them and they both stood up. They were told that it was the bier of one of the people of the land (non-Muslim). They said that a bier passed before the Prophet (ﷺ) and he stood up. He was told that he (the dead man) was a Jew. Upon this he remarked:Was he not a human being or did he not have a soul? And in the hadith narrated by 'Amr b. Murra with the same chain of transmitters, (the words) are:" There passed a bier before us
Traduction en ourdou
شعبہ نے عمرو بن مرہ سے اور انھوں نے ابن ابی لیلیٰ سے روایت کی کہ حضرت قیس بن سعد اور سہل بن حنیف رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ قادسہ میں ( مقیم ) تھے کہ ان کے پاس سے ایک جنازہ گزرا تو وہ دونوں کھڑے ہوگئے اس پر ان دونوں سے کہا گیا کہ وہ اسی زمین ( کے ذمی ) لوگوں میں سے ہے تو ان دونوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس سے ایک جنازہ گزرا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوگئے ، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کی گئی : یہ تو یہودی ( کا جنازہ ) ہے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " کیا یہ ایک جان نہیں
