Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar : Quand ‘Umar fut blessé, il perdit connaissance et il y eut de grands cris autour de lui. Lorsqu’il reprit connaissance, il dit : « Ne saviez-vous pas que le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : “Le défunt est puni à cause des pleurs des vivants” ? »

Texte arabe original
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي، صَالِحٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ لَمَّا طُعِنَ عُمَرُ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ فَصِيحَ عَلَيْهِ فَلَمَّا أَفَاقَ قَالَ أَمَا عَلِمْتُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ " .
Traduction anglaise
Ibn 'Umar reported:When 'Umar was wounded he fainted, and there was a loud lamentation over him. When he regained consciousness he said: Didn't you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:" The dead is punished because of the weeping of the living"?

ابو صالح نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روا یت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : جب حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو زخمی کیا گیاوہ بے ہو ش ہو گئے تب ان پر بلند آواز سے چیخ و پکار کی گئی جب ان کو افاقہ ہوا تو انھوں نے کہا : کیا تم لوگ جانتے نہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر مایا : " میت کو زندہ کے رونے سے عذاب دیا جا تا ہے ؟
