كتاب النكاح
Rapporté par Ibn Buraidah, de la part de son père : Une jeune fille est venue voir le Prophète ﷺ et a dit : « Mon père m’a mariée au fils de son frère pour élever son propre statut. » Le Prophète lui a donné le choix, et elle a dit : « J’accepte ce que mon père a fait, mais je voulais que les femmes sachent que leurs pères n’ont pas ce droit. »

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ كَهْمَسِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ جَاءَتْ فَتَاةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ أَبِي زَوَّجَنِي ابْنَ أَخِيهِ لِيَرْفَعَ بِي خَسِيسَتَهُ . قَالَ فَجَعَلَ الأَمْرَ إِلَيْهَا . فَقَالَتْ قَدْ أَجَزْتُ مَا صَنَعَ أَبِي وَلَكِنْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَعْلَمَ النِّسَاءُ أَنْ لَيْسَ إِلَى الآبَاءِ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَىْءٌ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn Buraidah that:his father said: “A girl came to the Prophet and said: 'My father married me to his brother's son so that he might raise his status thereby.' The Prophet gave her the choice, and she said: 'I approve of what my father did, but I wanted women to know that their fathers have no right to do that.' ”
Traduction en ourdou
بریدہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک نوجوان عورت نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئی عرض کیا: میرے والد نے میرا نکاح اپنے بھتیجے سے کر دیا ہے، تاکہ میری وجہ سے اس کی ذلت ختم ہو جائے، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس عورت کو اختیار دے دیا، تو اس نے کہا: میرے والد نے جو کیا میں نے اسے مان لیا، لیکن میرا مقصد یہ تھا کہ عورتوں کو یہ معلوم ہو جائے کہ ان کے باپوں کو ان پر ( جبراً نکاح کر دینے کا ) اختیار نہیں پہنچتا۔
