Rapporté par Abu Qatadah : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Jeûner le jour de ‘Arafah, j’espère d’Allah qu’il efface les péchés de l’année précédente et de l’année suivante. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلاَنُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الزِّمَّانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ، إِنِّي أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ وَالَّتِي بَعْدَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.”
Traduction en ourdou
ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ عرفہ ۱؎ کے دن روزہ رکھنے کا ثواب اللہ تعالیٰ یہ دے گا کہ اگلے پچھلے ایک سال کے گناہ بخش دے گا ۲؎۔
