Rapporté par ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr : Un homme est mort à Médine, et il était né à Médine. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a fait la prière funéraire pour lui et a dit : « Si seulement il était mort ailleurs que dans sa ville natale. » Un homme parmi les gens a demandé : « Pourquoi, ô Messager d'Allah ? » Il a répondu : « Si un homme meurt ailleurs que là où il est né, une distance lui sera mesurée au Paradis, égale à celle entre son lieu de naissance et l'endroit où il est mort. »

حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي حُيَىُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مِمَّنْ وُلِدَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ: " يَا لَيْتَهُ مَاتَ فِي غَيْرِ مَوْلِدِهِ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا مَاتَ فِي غَيْرِ مَوْلِدِهِ قِيسَ لَهُ مِنْ مَوْلِدِهِ إِلَى مُنْقَطَعِ أَثَرِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr said:“A man died in Al- Madinah, and he was one of those who were born in Al-Madinah. The Prophet (ﷺ) offered the funeral prayer for him and said: “Would that he had died somewhere other than his birthplace.” A man among the people said: “Why, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “If a man dies somewhere other than his birthplace, a space will be measured for him in Paradise (as big as the distance) from the place where he was born to the place where he died.”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ مدینہ ہی میں پیدا ہونے والے ایک شخص کا مدینہ میں انتقال ہو گیا، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی اور فرمایا: کاش کہ اپنی جائے پیدائش کے علاوہ سر زمین میں انتقال کیا ہوتا ایک شخص نے پوچھا: کیوں اے اللہ کے رسول؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب آدمی کا انتقال اپنی جائے پیدائش کے علاوہ مقام میں ہوتا ہے، تو اس کی پیدائش کے مقام سے لے کر موت کے مقام تک جنت میں اس کو جگہ دی جاتی ہے ۱؎ ۔
