Rapporté par Jabir bin ‘Abdullah : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) avait l’habitude de mettre deux ou trois personnes tuées à Uhud dans un même linceul. Il demandait : “Lequel d’entre eux connaissait le plus de Coran ?” Et si on lui montrait l’un d’eux, il le mettait en premier dans la tombe. Il disait : “Je suis témoin sur eux.” Il ordonnait qu’ils soient enterrés avec leur sang, sans prière funéraire ni lavage

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلَيْنِ وَالثَّلاَثَةِ مِنْ قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ " أَيُّهُمْ أَكْثَرُ أَخْذًا لِلْقُرْآنِ " . فَإِذَا أُشِيرَ لَهُ إِلَى أَحَدِهِمْ قَدَّمَهُ فِي اللَّحْدِ وَقَالَ " أَنَا شَهِيدٌ عَلَى هَؤُلاَءِ " . وَأَمَرَ بِدَفْنِهِمْ فِي دِمَائِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُغَسَّلُوا .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to put two or three of the slain of Uhud in one shroud. He would ask:“Which of them had memorized more Qur’an?” And if one of them was pointed out to him, he would put him in the niche-grave first. And he said: “I am a witness over them.” He commanded that they should be buried with their blood, and that the funeral prayer should not be offered for them and they should not be washed
Traduction en ourdou
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم غزوہ احد کے شہداء میں سے دو دو تین تین کو ایک کپڑے میں لپیٹتے، پھر پوچھتے: ان میں سے قرآن کس کو زیادہ یاد ہے ؟ جب ان میں سے کسی ایک کی جانب اشارہ کیا جاتا، تو اسے قبر ( قبلہ کی طرف ) میں آگے کرتے، اور فرماتے: میں ان لوگوں پہ گواہ ہوں،، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں ان کے خونوں کے ساتھ دفن کرنے کا حکم دیا، نہ تو آپ نے ان کی نماز جنازہ پڑھی، اور نہ غسل دلایا ۱؎۔
