Rapporté par Isma’il bin Abu Khalid : J’ai demandé à ‘Abdullah bin Abi Awfa : “As-tu vu Ibrahim, le fils du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) ?” Il a répondu : “Il est mort alors qu’il était petit, et s’il avait été décrété qu’il y ait un Prophète après Muhammad (ﷺ), son fils aurait vécu. Mais il n’y a pas de Prophète après lui.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى رَأَيْتَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ مَاتَ وَهُوَ صَغِيرٌ وَلَوْ قُضِيَ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَعْدَ مُحَمَّدٍ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَبِيٌّ لَعَاشَ ابْنُهُ وَلَكِنْ لاَ نَبِيَّ بَعْدَهُ .
Traduction anglaise
Isma’il bin Abu Khalid said:“I said to ‘Abdullah bin Abi Awfa: ‘Did you see Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?’ He said: ‘He died when he was small, and if it had been decreed that there should be any Prophet after Muhammad (ﷺ), his son would have lived. But there is no Prophet after him.’”
Traduction en ourdou
اسماعیل بن ابی خالد کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا: آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صاحب زادے ابراہیم کو دیکھا ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا: ابراہیم بچپن ہی میں انتقال کر گئے، اور اگر نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بعد کسی کا نبی ہونا مقدر ہوتا تو آپ کے بیٹے زندہ رہتے، لیکن آپ کے بعد کوئی نبی نہیں ہے ۱؎۔
