كتاب الجنائز
Rapporté par Abu Ghalib : “J’ai vu Anas bin Malik accomplir la prière funéraire pour un homme, et il s’est placé au niveau de sa tête. Puis on a apporté une autre dépouille, celle d’une femme, et ils lui ont dit : ‘Ô Abu Hamzah ! Accomplis la prière funéraire pour elle.’ Alors il s’est placé au niveau du milieu du lit (où reposait le corps). ‘Ala’ bin Ziyad lui a demandé : ‘Ô Abu Hamzah ! Est-ce ainsi que tu as vu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) se placer pour la prière funéraire d’un homme et d’une femme, comme tu viens de le faire ?’ Il a répondu : ‘Oui.’ Puis il s’est tourné vers nous et a dit : ‘Souvenez-vous-en.’”

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ صَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةِ رَجُلٍ فَقَامَ حِيَالَ رَأْسِهِ فَجِيءَ بِجِنَازَةٍ أُخْرَى بِامْرَأَةٍ فَقَالُوا يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ صَلِّ عَلَيْهَا . فَقَامَ حِيَالَ وَسَطِ السَّرِيرِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَلاَءُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ يَا أَبَا حَمْزَةَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَامَ مِنَ الْجِنَازَةِ مُقَامَكَ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ وَقَامَ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ مُقَامَكَ مِنَ الْمَرْأَةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ . فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ احْفَظُوا .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Ghalib said:“I saw Anas bin Malik offering the funeral prayer for a man, and he stood level with his head. Then another funeral was brought, that of a woman, and they said: ‘O Abu Hamzah! Offer the funeral prayer for her.’ So he stood level with the middle of the bed (the body was upon). ‘Ala’ bin Ziyad said to him: ‘O Abu Hamzah! Is this how you saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) standing in relation to the body of a man and a woman as you have stood?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ Then he turned to us and said: ‘Remember this.’”

ابوغالب کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ انہوں نے ایک آدمی کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائی تو اس کے سر کے سامنے کھڑے ہوئے، پھر ایک دوسرا جنازہ ایک عورت کا لایا گیا، تو لوگوں نے کہا: اے ابوحمزہ! اس کی نماز جنازہ پڑھائیے، تو وہ چارپائی کے بیچ میں کھڑے ہوئے، تو ان سے علاء بن زیاد نے کہا: اے ابوحمزہ! کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اسی طرح مرد اور عورت کے جنازے میں کھڑے ہوتے ہوئے دیکھا، جس طرح آپ کھڑے ہوئے؟ انہوں نے کہا: ہاں، پھر ہماری طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور بولے: سب لوگ یاد کر لو۔
