Hadith 1491 — Livre 6: Chapters Regarding Funerals
كتاب الجنائز
Rapporté par Anas bin Malik : “Un cortège funèbre est passé devant le Prophète (ﷺ) et les gens ont fait l’éloge du défunt. Il a dit : ‘(Le Paradis est) garanti pour lui.’ Puis un autre cortège est passé et ils ont parlé en mal du défunt, et le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : ‘(L’Enfer est) garanti pour lui.’ On lui a dit : ‘Ô Messager d’Allah, tu as dit que (le Paradis était) garanti pour celui-ci et que (l’Enfer était) garanti pour l’autre.’ Il a répondu : ‘C’est le témoignage des gens, et les croyants sont les témoins d’Allah sur terre.’”

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ مُرَّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا خَيْرًا فَقَالَ " وَجَبَتْ " . ثُمَّ مُرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِجِنَازَةٍ فَأُثْنِيَ عَلَيْهَا شَرًّا فَقَالَ " وَجَبَتْ " . فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُلْتَ لِهَذِهِ وَجَبَتْ وَلِهَذِهِ وَجَبَتْ فَقَالَ " شَهَادَةُ الْقَوْمِ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ شُهُودُ اللَّهِ فِي الأَرْضِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:“A funeral (procession) passed by the Prophet (ﷺ) and they praised (the deceased) and spoke well of him. He said: ‘(Paradise is) guaranteed for him.’ Then another funeral passed by and they spoke badly of him, and he (the Prophet (ﷺ)) said: ‘(Hell is) guaranteed for him.’ It was said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, you said that (Paradise was) guaranteed for this one and that (Hell was) guaranteed for the other one.’ He said: ‘It is the testimony of the people, and the believers are the witnesses of Allah on earth.’”
Traduction en ourdou
انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے سے ایک جنازہ لے جایا گیا، لوگوں نے اس کی تعریف کی، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس پر ( جنت ) واجب ہو گئی پھر آپ کے سامنے سے ایک اور جنازہ لے جایا گیا، تو لوگوں نے اس کی برائی کی، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس پر ( جہنم ) واجب ہو گئی ، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے اس کے لیے بھی فرمایا: واجب ہو گئی ، اور اس کے لیے بھی فرمایا: واجب ہو گئی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: لوگوں کی گواہی واجب ہو گئی، اور مومن زمین میں اللہ تعالیٰ کے گواہ ہیں ۱؎۔
