كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
Rapporté par Malik bin Huwairith : Je suis venu voir le Prophète (ﷺ) avec un ami, et quand nous avons voulu partir, il nous a dit : « Quand l’heure de la prière arrive, faites l’Adhan et l’Iqamah, puis que le plus âgé d’entre vous dirige la prière. »

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ الصَّوَّافُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنَا وَصَاحِبٌ لِي فَلَمَّا أَرَدْنَا الاِنْصِرَافَ قَالَ لَنَا " إِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَأَذِّنَا وَأَقِيمَا، وَلْيَؤُمَّكُمَا أَكْبَرُكُمَا " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Malik bin Huwairith said:“I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) with a friend of mine, and when we wanted to leave, he said to us: ‘When the time for prayer comes, say the Adhan and Iqamah, then let the older of you lead the prayer.’”

مالک بن حویرث رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں اور میرا ایک ساتھی دونوں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے، جب ہم واپس ہونے لگے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے فرمایا: جب نماز کا وقت ہو جائے تو اذان و اقامت کہو، اور تم میں جو عمر میں بڑا ہو وہ امامت کرے ۱؎۔
