Hadith 1363 — Livre 5: Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them

Rapporté par Kuraib, l’affranchi d’Ibn ‘Abbas, qu’Ibn ‘Abbas lui a raconté qu’il a dormi chez Maymouna, l’épouse du Prophète (ﷺ), qui était sa tante maternelle. Il a dit : “Je me suis allongé en travers de l’oreiller et le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et son épouse étaient allongés dans le sens de la longueur. Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dormi jusqu’à minuit, ou un peu avant, ou un peu après. Il s’est réveillé et a commencé à se frotter le visage avec la main pour chasser le sommeil. Ensuite, il a récité les dix derniers versets de la sourate Al ‘Imran. Puis il s’est levé, est allé à une outre suspendue et a fait ses ablutions soigneusement, puis il s’est levé et a prié.” ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas a dit : “Je me suis levé et j’ai fait comme lui, puis je me suis placé à côté de lui. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a posé sa main droite sur ma tête, a attrapé mon oreille droite et l’a pincée. Ensuite, il a prié deux unités, puis deux unités, puis deux unités, puis deux unités, puis deux unités, puis deux unités, puis il a prié le Witr. Ensuite, il s’est recouché jusqu’à ce que le muezzin vienne et il a prié deux unités courtes, puis il est sorti pour la prière.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ خَلاَّدٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، نَامَ عِنْدَ مَيْمُونَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ - وَهِيَ خَالَتُهُ - قَالَ فَاضْطَجَعْتُ فِي عَرْضِ الْوِسَادَةِ وَاضْطَجَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَأَهْلُهُ فِي طُولِهَا فَنَامَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ حَتَّى إِذَا انْتَصَفَ اللَّيْلُ أَوْ قَبْلَهُ بِقَلِيلٍ أَوْ بَعْدَهُ بِقَلِيلٍ اسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَجَعَلَ يَمْسَحُ النَّوْمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ الْعَشْرَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ آلِ عِمْرَانَ ثُمَّ قَامَ إِلَى شَنٍّ مُعَلَّقَةٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا فَأَحْسَنَ وُضُوءَهُ ثُمَّ قَامَ يُصَلِّي . قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُمْتُ فَصَنَعْتُ مِثْلَ مَا صَنَعَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبْتُ فَقُمْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى رَأْسِي وَأَخَذَ أُذُنِي الْيُمْنَى يَفْتِلُهَا فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ أَوْتَرَ . ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ حَتَّى جَاءَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Kuraib, the freed slave of Ibn ‘Abbas, that Ibn ‘Abbas told him that he slept at the house of Maimunah, the wife of the Prophet (ﷺ), who was his maternal aunt. He said:“I lay down across the pillow and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and his wife were laying along it. The Prophet (ﷺ) slept until midnight, or a little before, or a little after. The Prophet (ﷺ) woke up and began to rub the sleep from his face with his hand. Then he recited the last ten Verses of Surah Al ‘Imran. Then he got up and went to a water skin that was hanging up and performed ablution from it, and he performed ablution well, then he stood up and prayed.” ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas said: “I stood up and did what he had done, then I went and stood beside him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) put his right hand on my head, took hold of my right ear and tweaked it. Then he prayed two Rak’ah, then two Rak’ah, then two Rak’ah, then two Rak’ah, then two Rak’ah, then two Rak’ah, then he prayed Witr. Then he lay down until the Mu’adh-dhin came to him and he prayed two brief Rak’ah, then he went out to pray.”

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنی خالہ ام المؤمنین میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس سوئے، وہ کہتے ہیں: میں تکیہ کی چوڑان میں لیٹا اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور آپ کی بیوی اس کی لمبائی میں لیٹے، نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سو گئے، جب آدھی رات سے کچھ کم یا کچھ زیادہ وقت گزرا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بیدار ہوئے، اور نیند کو زائل کرنے کے لیے اپنا ہاتھ اپنے چہرہ مبارک پر پھیرنے لگے، پھر سورۃ آل عمران کی آخری دس آیتیں پڑھیں، اس کے بعد ایک لٹکی ہوئی مشک کے پاس گئے، اور اس سے اچھی طرح وضو کیا، پھر کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھنے لگے، میں بھی اٹھا، اور میں نے بھی ویسے ہی کیا جیسے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کیا، پھر میں گیا، اور آپ کی بغل میں کھڑا ہو گیا، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنا دایاں ہاتھ میرے سر پر رکھا، اور میرے دائیں کان کو ملتے رہے، آپ نے دو رکعتیں پڑھیں، پھر دو رکعتیں، پھر دو رکعتیں، پھر دو رکعتیں، پھر دو رکعتیں، پھر دو رکعتیں پھر وتر ادا کی، پھر لیٹ گئے، جب مؤذن آیا تو دو ہلکی رکعتیں پڑھیں پھر نماز ( فجر ) کے لیے نکل گئے۔
