Hadith 1256 — Livre 5: Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them
كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
Rapporté par Abu Dharr : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Accomplis la prière à l’heure, et si tu arrives alors que l’imam dirige la prière (à l’heure), prie avec eux, ainsi ta prière sera valide. Sinon, ce sera pour toi une prière surérogatoire. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " صَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا. فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَ الإِمَامَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ، وَقَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلاَتَكَ. وَإِلاَّ فَهِيَ نَافِلَةٌ لَكَ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:“Offer prayer on time, and if you reached the Imam leading them in prayers (on time), then perform it with them, and you will be safe with your prayer, otherwise it will be voluntary for you.”
Traduction en ourdou
ابوذر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نماز اس کے وقت پر پڑھو، اگر امام کو پاؤ کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھا رہا ہے تو ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھ لو، اگر تم نے نماز نہیں پڑھی ہے تو یہ تمہاری فرض نماز ہو گئی، ورنہ پھر یہ تمہارے لیے نفل ( سنت ) ہو جائے گی ۔
