Hadith 1211 — Livre 5: Establishing the Prayer and the Sunnah Regarding Them
كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
Rapporté par ‘Abdullah : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dirigé la prière, et je ne sais pas s’il a ajouté ou oublié quelque chose. Il a demandé, et nous lui avons dit, alors il s’est tourné vers la Qibla et a fait deux prosternations, puis il a dit le Salam. Ensuite, il s’est tourné vers nous et a dit : “Si un nouvel ordre avait été révélé concernant la prière, je vous l’aurais dit. Mais je suis un être humain, j’oublie et vous oubliez. Si j’oublie, rappelez-le-moi. Et si l’un de vous a un doute sur la prière, qu’il fasse ce qui lui semble le plus correct, puis qu’il termine la prière, dise le Salam et fasse deux prosternations.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ كَتَبَ إِلَىَّ وَقَرَأْتُهُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ صَلاَةً لاَ يَدْرِي أَزَادَ أَوْ نَقَصَ . فَسَأَلَ فَحَدَّثْنَاهُ فَثَنَى رِجْلَهُ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ وَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ " لَوْ حَدَثَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ شَىْءٌ لأَنْبَأْتُكُمُوهُ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ فَإِذَا نَسِيتُ فَذَكِّرُونِي وَأَيُّكُمْ مَا شَكَّ فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَلْيَتَحَرَّ أَقْرَبَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الصَّوَابِ فَيُتِمَّ عَلَيْهِ وَيُسَلِّمَ وَيَسْجُدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) offered prayer, and I am not sure whether he did something extra or omitted something. He asked, and we told him, so he turned to face the Qiblah and prostrated twice, then he said the Salam. Then he turned to face us and said: ‘If any new command has been revealed concerning the prayer, I would certainly have told you. But I am only human and I forget and you forget. If I forget, then remind me. And if anyone of you is uncertain about the prayer, let him do what is closest to what is correct, then complete the prayer, say the Salam and prostrate twice.”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں کوئی نماز پڑھائی، ہمیں یاد نہیں کہ آپ نے اس میں کچھ بیشی کر دی یا کمی کر دی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے اس کے بارے میں پوچھا تو ہم نے آپ سے اسے بیان کیا، آپ نے اپنا پاؤں موڑا اور قبلہ کی جانب رخ کیا، اور دو سجدے کئے، پھر سلام پھیرا، پھر ہماری جانب متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا: اگر نماز کے بارے میں کوئی نیا حکم نازل ہوتا تو میں تمہیں ضرور باخبر کرتا، میں تو ایک انسان ہوں، میں بھولتا ہوں جیسے تم بھولتے ہو، لہٰذا جب میں بھول جاؤں تو مجھے یاد دلا دیا کرو، اور تم میں سے جو بھی نماز میں شک کرے تو سوچے، اور جو صحیح کے قریب تر معلوم ہو اسی کے حساب سے نماز پوری کر کے سلام پھیرے، اور دو سجدے کرے ۱؎۔
