كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
Rapporté par Masruq : J’ai demandé à ‘Aishah au sujet du Witr du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). Elle a dit : « Il priait le Witr à tous les moments de la nuit, au début, au milieu et à la fin, et quand il est décédé, il le faisait juste avant l’aube. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ وَثَّابٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ وِتْرِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَتْ: مِنْ كُلِّ اللَّيْلِ قَدْ أَوْتَرَ. مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَأَوْسَطِهِ، وَانْتَهَى وِتْرُهُ، حِينَ مَاتَ، فِي السَّحَرِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Masruq said:“I asked ‘Aishah about the Witr of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). She said: ‘He prayed Witr at every part of the night, at the beginning, in the middle and at the end, when he died (he would perform it) just before dawn.’”

مسروق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز وتر کے متعلق پوچھا، تو انہوں نے کہا: آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے رات کے ہر حصے میں وتر پڑھا، کبھی رات کے شروع حصے میں، کبھی درمیانی حصے میں، اور وفات کے قریبی ایام میں اپنا وتر صبح صادق کے قریب پڑھا۔
