كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
Rapporté par ‘Abdul-‘Aziz bin Juraij : Nous avons demandé à ‘Aishah ce que le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) récitait dans le Witr. Elle a répondu : « Il récitait : “Glorifie le nom de ton Seigneur le Très-Haut.” [Al-A‘la (87)] dans la première Rak‘a, “Dis : Ô mécréants !” [Al-Kafirun (109)] dans la deuxième Rak‘a, et “Dis : Allah est Un” dans la troisième, ainsi que les deux sourates de protection (chapitres 113 et 114). »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، وَأَبُو يُوسُفَ الرَّقِّيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الصَّيْدَلاَنِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْنَا عَائِشَةَ بِأَىِّ شَىْءٍ كَانَ يُوتِرُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الأُولَى بِـ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى} وَفِي الثَّانِيَةِ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} وَفِي الثَّالِثَةِ {قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ} وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that ‘Abdul-‘Aziz bin Juraij said:“We asked ‘Aishah what the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite in Witr. She said: ‘He used to recite: “Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High,” [Al-A’la (87)] in the first Rak’ah, ‘Say: “O disbelievers!’” [Al- Kafirun (109)] in the second Rak’ah, and ‘Say: Allah is One’ in the third and the Mu’awwidhatain (Chapter 113, 114).’”

عبدالعزیز بن جریج کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم وتر میں کون سی سورتیں پڑھتے تھے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پہلی رکعت میں: «سبح اسم ربك الأعلى»دوسری میں«قل يا أيها الكافرون»اور تیسری میں «قل هو الله أحد» اور معوذتین پڑھتے تھے ۱؎۔
