كتاب إقامة الصلاة والسنن فيها
Rapporté par Kharijah bin Hudhafah Al-‘Adawi : Le Prophète (ﷺ) est sorti vers nous et a dit : « Allah vous a ajouté une prière qui est meilleure pour vous que des chameaux rouges. C’est le Witr, qu’Allah vous a prescrit entre la prière de l’Isha et l’aube. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ الزَّوْفِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُرَّةَ الزَّوْفِيِّ، عَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ الْعَدَوِيِّ، قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَمَدَّكُمْ بِصَلاَةٍ، لَهِيَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ حُمُرِ النَّعَمِ. الْوِتْرُ، جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ فِيمَا بَيْنَ صَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى أَنْ يَطْلُعَ الْفَجْرُ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Kharijah bin Hudhafah Al-‘Adawi said:“The Prophet (ﷺ) came out to us and said: ‘Allah has increased a prayer for you which is better for you than red camels. (It is) Witr, which Allah has enjoined on you between the ‘Isha’ prayer and the onset of dawn.’”

خارجہ بن حذافہ عدوی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس تشریف لائے اور فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ نے تمہارے اوپر مزید ایک نماز مقرر کی ہے، جو تمہارے لیے سرخ اونٹوں سے بہتر ہے، وہ وتر کی نماز ہے، اللہ نے اسے تمہارے لیے عشاء سے لے کر طلوع فجر کے درمیان مقرر کیا ہے ۔
