Rapporté par ‘Abdullah : C’est comme si je voyais le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) nous raconter l’histoire d’un des Prophètes : « Son peuple l’a frappé, et il essuyait le sang de son visage en disant : “Ô Seigneur, pardonne à mon peuple, car ils ne savent pas.” »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَهُوَ يَحْكِي نَبِيًّا مِنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ ضَرَبَهُ قَوْمُهُ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَيَقُولُ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِقَوْمِي فَإِنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah said:“It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), telling us the story of one of the Prophets: ‘His people beat him, and he was wiping the blood from his face and saying: “O Lord forgive my people, for they do not know.’”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ گویا میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھ رہا ہوں، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم انبیاء کرام ( علیہم السلام ) میں سے ایک نبی کی حکایت بیان کر رہے تھے جن کو ان کی قوم نے مارا پیٹا تھا، وہ اپنے چہرے سے خون پونچھتے جاتے تھے، اور یہ کہتے جاتے تھے: اے میرے رب! میری قوم کی مغفرت فرما، کیونکہ وہ لوگ نہیں جانتے ۱؎۔
