Rapporté par Uqbah bin Amir : Nous avons dit au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) : « Tu nous envoies chez des gens qui ne nous offrent aucune hospitalité. Qu’en penses-tu ? » Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Si vous séjournez chez des gens et qu’ils vous donnent ce qu’un invité mérite, acceptez-le. S’ils ne le font pas, prenez ce qui vous revient en tant qu’invité. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُلْنَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِنَّكَ تَبْعَثُنَا فَنَنْزِلُ بِقَوْمٍ فَلاَ يَقْرُونَا فَمَا تَرَى فِي ذَلِكَ . قَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِنْ نَزَلْتُمْ بِقَوْمٍ فَأَمَرُوا لَكُمْ بِمَا يَنْبَغِي لِلضَّيْفِ فَاقْبَلُوا وَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا فَخُذُوا مِنْهُمْ حَقَّ الضَّيْفِ الَّذِي يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Uqbah bin Amir said:"We said to the Messenger of Allah(ﷺ): ' You send us and we stay with people who do not show us any hospitality. WHat do you think of that?' The MEssenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'If you stay with people and they give you what a guest deserves, then accept it. If they do not do that , then take from them what they should have offered, which a guest is entitled to
Traduction en ourdou
عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: آپ ہم کو لوگوں کے پاس بھیجتے ہیں، اور ہم ان کے پاس اترتے ہیں تو وہ ہماری مہمان نوازی نہیں کرتے، ایسی صورت میں آپ کیا فرماتے ہیں؟ تو آپ صلیاللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہم سے فرمایا: جب تم کسی قوم کے پاس اترو اور وہ تمہارے لیے ان چیزوں کے لینے کا حکم دیں جو مہمان کو درکار ہوتی ہیں، تو انہیں لے لو، اور اگر نہ دیں تو اپنی مہمان نوازی کا حق جو ان کے لیے مناسب ہو ان سے وصول کر لو ۱؎۔
