Hadith 3605 — Livre 32: Chapters on Dress
كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, d’après son père, d’après son grand-père : Le Messager d’Allah ﷺ a dit : “Mangez et buvez, donnez en aumône et portez des vêtements, tant que cela ne mène pas à l’excès ou à l’orgueil.”

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا وَتَصَدَّقُوا وَالْبَسُوا مَا لَمْ يُخَالِطْهُ إِسْرَافٌ أَوْ مَخِيلَةٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, that his grandfather said:“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Eat and drink, give charity and wear clothes, as long as that does not involve any extravagance or vanity.’”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہعلیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: کھاؤ پیو، صدقہ و خیرات کرو، اور پہنو ہر وہ لباس جس میں اسراف و تکبر ( فضول خرچی اور گھمنڈ ) کی ملاوٹ نہ ہو ۱؎۔
