كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par Abu ‘Umar, l’affranchi d’Asma’ : J’ai vu Ibn ‘Umar acheter un turban avec des motifs, puis il a demandé des ciseaux et les a coupés. Je suis allé voir Asma’ et je lui ai raconté cela, et elle a dit : « Qu’Allah maudisse ‘Abdullah, ô fille ! Apporte-moi le vêtement du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). » On a apporté un vêtement bordé de brocart sur les manches, l’encolure et les ouvertures (devant et derrière)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ، مَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ اشْتَرَى عِمَامَةً لَهَا عَلَمٌ فَدَعَا بِالْجَلَمَيْنِ فَقَصَّهُ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَسْمَاءَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهَا فَقَالَتْ بُؤْسًا لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَا جَارِيَةُ هَاتِي جُبَّةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ . فَجَاءَتْ بِجُبَّةٍ مَكْفُوفَةِ الْكُمَّيْنِ وَالْجَيْبِ وَالْفَرْجَيْنِ بِالدِّيبَاجِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu ‘Umar, the freed slave of Asma’, said:“I saw Ibn ‘Umar buying a turban that had some markings, then he called for a pair of scissors and cut that off. I entered upon Asma’ and mentioned that to her, and she said: ‘May ‘Abdullah perish, O girl! Give me the garment of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).’ A garment was brought that was hemmed with brocade on the sleeves, necklines and openings (at the front and back).”

اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا کے غلام ابوعمر کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کو دیکھا کہ انہوں نے ایک عمامہ خریدا جس میں گوٹے بنے تھے، پھر قینچی منگا کر انہیں کتر دیا ۱؎، میں اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، اور اس کا تذکرہ کیا، تو انہوں نے کہا: تعجب ہے عبداللہ پر، ( ایک اپنی خادمہ کو پکار کر کہا: ) اے لڑکی! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا جبہ لے آ، چنانچہ وہ ایک ایسا جبہ لے کر آئی جس کی دونوں آستینوں، گریبان اور کلیوں کے دامن پر ریشمی گوٹے تھے۔
