Hadith 3576 — Livre 32: Chapters on Dress
كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par Salim, d’après son père : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Le fait de laisser traîner concerne le pagne, la chemise ou le turban. Celui qui laisse l’un de ces vêtements traîner par orgueil, Allah ne le regardera pas le Jour de la Résurrection. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ " الإِسْبَالُ فِي الإِزَارِ وَالْقَمِيصِ وَالْعِمَامَةِ مَنْ جَرَّ شَيْئًا خُيَلاَءَ لَمْ يَنْظُرِ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مَا أَغْرَبَهُ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Salim, from his father, that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:“Hanging down may apply to the waist wrap, shirt or turban. Whoever lets any of these drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection.”

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: «اسبال»: تہبند، کرتے ( قمیص ) اور عمامہ ( پگڑی ) میں ہوتا ہے جو اسے محض تکبر اور غرور کے سبب گھسیٹے تو اللہ تعالیٰ ایسے شخص کی طرف قیامت کے روز نہیں دیکھے گا ۱؎۔ ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ کتنی غریب روایت ہے
