Hadith 3573 — Livre 32: Chapters on Dress
كتاب اللباس
Rapporté par ‘Ala bin ‘Abdur-Rahman, d’après son père : J’ai demandé à Abu Sa’eed : « As-tu entendu quelque chose du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) à propos du pagne ? » Il répondit : « Oui. J’ai entendu le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) dire : “Le pagne du croyant doit arriver au milieu du mollet, mais il n’y a pas de péché s’il est entre ce point et la cheville. Mais ce qui est en dessous de la cheville est dans le Feu.” » Et il a dit trois fois : « Allah ne regardera pas celui qui laisse traîner son pagne par vanité. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي سَعِيدٍ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ مِنْ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ شَيْئًا فِي الإِزَارِ قَالَ نَعَمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ سَاقَيْهِ لاَ جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَيْنِ فِي النَّارِ " . يَقُولُ ثَلاَثًا " لاَ يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ بَطَرًا " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from ‘Ala bin ‘Abdur-Rahman that his father said:“I said to Abu Sa’eed: ‘Did you hear anything from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) concerning the lower wrap?’ He said: ‘Yes. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘The lower wrap of the believer should come to mid-calf, but there is no sin on him if it comes between that point and the ankle. But whatever is lower than the ankle is in the Fire.’ And he said three times: ‘Allah will not look at the one who lets his lower wrap drag out of vanity.’”
Traduction en ourdou
عبدالرحمٰن کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے تہبند کے بارے میں کچھ سنا ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: مومن کا تہبند اس کی آدھی پنڈلی تک ہوتا ہے، اور اگر وہ اس کے اور ٹخنوں کے درمیان کسی بھی جگہ تک رکھے تو بھی کوئی حرج نہیں، لیکن جو ٹخنوں سے نیچے ہو وہ حصہ جہنم میں ہو گا، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے تین بار فرمایا: اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی طرف نہیں دیکھے گا جو اپنا تہبند تکبر کی وجہ سے گھسیٹے ۔
