Rapporté par Tariq bin Suwaid Al-Hadrami : J’ai dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah, dans notre région il y a des raisins que nous pressons (pour faire du vin). Pouvons-nous en boire ? » Il a dit : « Non. » J’ai répété la question et dit : « Nous soignons les malades avec. » Il a dit : « Ce n’est pas un remède, c’est une maladie. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ بِأَرْضِنَا أَعْنَابًا نَعْتَصِرُهَا فَنَشْرَبُ مِنْهَا قَالَ " لاَ " . فَرَاجَعْتُهُ قُلْتُ إِنَّا نَسْتَشْفِي بِهِ لِلْمَرِيضِ . قَالَ " إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَيْسَ بِشِفَاءٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ دَاءٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Tariq bin Suwaid Al-Hadrami said:“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, in our land there are grapes which we squeeze (to make wine). Can we drink from it?’ He said: ‘No.’ I repeated the question and said: ‘We treat the sick with it.’ He said: ‘That is not a cure, it is a disease.’”
Traduction en ourdou
طارق بن سوید حضرمی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہمارے ملک میں انگور ہیں، کیا ہم انہیں نچوڑ کر پی لیا کریں؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نہیں ، میں نے دوبارہ عرض کیا کہ ہم اس سے مریض کا علاج کرتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: یہ دوا نہیں بلکہ خود بیماری ہے ۱؎۔
