Hadith 3433 — Livre 30: Chapters on Drinks
كتاب الأشربة
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar : Nous sommes passés près d’un bassin et nous avons commencé à laper l’eau. Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : “Ne lapez pas l’eau, lavez plutôt vos mains puis buvez avec elles, car il n’y a pas de meilleur récipient que la main.”

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ مَرَرْنَا عَلَى بِرْكَةٍ فَجَعَلْنَا نَكْرَعُ فِيهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لاَ تَكْرَعُوا وَلَكِنِ اغْسِلُوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ ثُمَّ اشْرَبُوا فِيهَا فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ إِنَاءٌ أَطْيَبَ مِنَ الْيَدِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:“We passed by a pond and we started to lap up water from it. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Do not lap up the water, rather wash your hands then drink from them, for there is no better vessel than the hand.’”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ایک حوض کے پاس سے ہمارا گزر ہوا تو ہم منہ لگا کے پانی پینے لگے، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: منہ لگا کر پانی نہ پیو، بلکہ اپنے ہاتھوں کو دھو لو پھر ان سے پیو، اس لیے کہ ہاتھ سے زیادہ پاکیزہ کوئی برتن نہیں ۱؎۔
