Hadith 3295 — Livre 29: Chapters on Food
كتاب الأطعمة
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Umar : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a dit : « Quand un repas est servi, un homme ne doit pas se lever avant qu’il ne soit enlevé, et il ne doit pas retirer sa main, même s’il est rassasié, tant que les autres n’ont pas fini. Et qu’il continue à manger. Car un homme peut mettre son compagnon mal à l’aise, l’amenant à retirer sa main, alors qu’il a peut-être encore besoin de manger. »

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْعَسْقَلاَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِذَا وُضِعَتِ الْمَائِدَةُ فَلاَ يَقُومُ رَجُلٌ حَتَّى تُرْفَعَ الْمَائِدَةُ وَلاَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَهُ وَإِنْ شَبِعَ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ الْقَوْمُ وَلْيُعْذِرْ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُخْجِلُ جَلِيسَهُ فَيَقْبِضُ يَدَهُ وَعَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ فِي الطَّعَامِ حَاجَةٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:“When a meal is served, a man should not stand up until it is removed, and he should not take his hand away, even if he is full, until the people have finished. And let him continue eating.* For a man may make his companion shy, causing him to withhold his hand, and perhaps he has a need for the food.”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب دستر خوان لگا دیا جائے تو کوئی شخص اس کے اٹھائے جانے سے پہلے نہ اٹھے، اور نہ ہی اپنا ہاتھ کھینچے گرچہ وہ آسودہ ہو چکا ہو جب تک کہ دوسرے لوگ بھی کھانے سے فارغ نہ ہو جائیں، ( اور اگر ایسا کرنا ضروری ہو ) تو عذر پیش کر دے، اس لیے کہ آدمی اپنے ساتھی سے شرماتا ہے تو اپنا ہاتھ کھینچ لیتا ہے اور ہو سکتا ہے کہ ابھی اس کو کھانے کی حاجت ہو ۔
