Hadith 3231 — Livre 28: Chapters on Hunting
كتاب الصيد
Rapporté par Sa’ibah, l’esclave affranchie de Fakih bin Mughirah : Elle est entrée chez ‘Aishah et a vu une lance dans sa maison. Elle a dit : “Ô Mère des Croyants, à quoi te sert ceci ?” Elle a répondu : “Nous tuons ces lézards des maisons avec, car le Prophète d’Allah (ﷺ) nous a dit que lorsque Ibrahim a été jeté dans le feu, il n’y avait pas une bête sur terre qui n’a pas essayé d’éteindre le feu, sauf le lézard des maisons qui soufflait dessus. Alors le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a ordonné de les tuer.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَائِبَةَ، - مَوْلاَةِ الْفَاكِهِ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ - أَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَرَأَتْ فِي بَيْتِهَا رُمْحًا مَوْضُوعًا فَقَالَتْ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا تَصْنَعِينَ بِهَذَا قَالَتْ نَقْتُلُ بِهِ هَذِهِ الأَوْزَاغَ فَإِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَخْبَرَنَا أَنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ لَمَّا أُلْقِيَ فِي النَّارِ لَمْ تَكُنْ فِي الأَرْضِ دَابَّةٌ إِلاَّ أَطْفَأَتِ النَّارَ غَيْرَ الْوَزَغِ فَإِنَّهَا كَانَتْ تَنْفُخُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِقَتْلِهِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Sa’ibah, the freed slave woman of Fakih bin Mughirah, that she entered upon ‘Aishah and saw a spear in her house. She said:“O Mother of the Believers, what do you do with this?” She said: “We kill these house lizards with it, for the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ) told us that when Ibrahim was thrown into the fire, there was no beast on earth that did not try to put it out, apart from the house lizard that blew on it. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded that they should be killed.”
Traduction en ourdou
فاکہ بن مغیرہ کی لونڈی سائبہ کہتی ہیں کہ وہ ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس آئیں تو انہوں نے آپ کے گھر ایک برچھا رکھا ہوا دیکھا، تو عرض کیا: ام المؤمنین! آپ اس برچھے سے کیا کرتی ہیں؟ کہا: ہم اس سے ان چھپکلیوں کو مارتے ہیں، کیونکہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں بتایا ہے کہ جب ابراہیم علیہ السلام کو آگ میں ڈالا گیا تو روئے زمین کے تمام جانوروں نے آگ بجھائی سوائے چھپکلی کے کہ یہ اسے ( مزید ) پھونک مارتی تھی، اسی لیے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس کے قتل کا حکم دیا ۱؎۔
