كتاب الذبائح
Rapporté par Nubaishah : Un homme appela le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) et dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah, nous avions l’habitude de sacrifier l’‘Atirah pendant les jours de l’Ignorance, en Rajab : que nous ordonnes-tu ?” Il dit : “Sacrifiez pour Allah, quel que soit le mois, faites le bien pour Allah et nourrissez (les pauvres).” Ils dirent : “Ô Messager d’Allah, nous sacrifiions aussi le Far’ah pendant l’Ignorance ; que nous ordonnes-tu ?” Il dit : “Pour chaque troupeau de bêtes qui paissent, nourrissez le premier-né comme le reste du troupeau jusqu’à ce qu’il soit assez grand pour porter des charges, puis sacrifiez-le et donnez sa viande en aumône” – je crois qu’il a dit – “au voyageur, car c’est un bien.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ نُبَيْشَةَ، قَالَ نَادَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَعْتِرُ عَتِيرَةً فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فِي رَجَبٍ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ " اذْبَحُوا لِلَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي أَىِّ شَهْرٍ مَا كَانَ وَبَرُّوا اللَّهَ وَأَطْعِمُوا " . قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا كُنَّا نُفْرِعُ فَرَعًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ " فِي كُلِّ سَائِمَةٍ فَرَعٌ تَغْذُوهُ مَاشِيَتُكَ حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَحْمَلَ ذَبَحْتَهُ فَتَصَدَّقْتَ بِلَحْمِهِ - أُرَاهُ قَالَ - عَلَى ابْنِ السَّبِيلِ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ هُوَ خَيْرٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Nubaishah said:“A man called the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, we used to sacrifice the ‘Atirah during the Ignorance days in Rajab,; what do you command us to do?’ He said: “Sacrifice to Allah whatever month it is, do good for the sake of Allah and feed (the poor).’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, we used to sacrifice the Far’ah during the Ignorance days; what do you command us to do?’ He said: ‘For every Sa’imah* (flock of grazing animals), feed the firstborn as you feed the rest of your flock until it reaches an age where it could be used to carry loads, then sacrifice it, and give its meat in charity’ – I** think he said – ‘to the wayfarer, for that is good.’”

نبیشہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو آواز دی اور کہا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم زمانہ جاہلیت میں ماہ رجب میں «عتیرہ» کرتے تھے، اب آپ اس سلسلے میں ہمیں کیا حکم فرماتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس مہینے میں چاہو اللہ کے لیے قربانی کرو، اللہ تعالیٰ کے لیے نیک عمل کرو، اور ( غریبوں کو ) کھانا کھلاؤ ، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم لوگ زمانہ جاہلیت میں «فرع» کرتے تھے، اب آپ اس سلسلے میں ہمیں کیا حکم دیتے ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہر «سائمہ» ( چرنے والے جانور ) میں «فرع» ہے جس کو تمہارا جانور جنے یہاں تک کہ جب وہ بوجھ لادنے کے لائق ( یعنی جوان ) ہو جائے تو اسے ذبح کرو، اور اس کا گوشت ( میرا خیال ہے انہوں نے کہا ) مسافروں پر صدقہ کر دے تو یہ بہتر ہے ۱؎۔
