كتاب مناسك الحج
Rapporté par ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid : Lorsque ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud a lancé les cailloux à la stèle de ‘Aqabah, il est descendu au fond de la vallée et s’est tourné vers la Kaaba, la stèle étant à sa droite. Il a alors lancé sept cailloux, en disant le Takbir à chaque lancer. Puis il a dit : « C’est d’ici, par Celui en dehors duquel il n’y a personne digne d’adoration, que celui à qui la sourate Al-Baqarah a été révélée a lancé les cailloux. »

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ لَمَّا أَتَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِيَ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَجَعَلَ الْجَمْرَةَ عَلَى حَاجِبِهِ الأَيْمَنِ ثُمَّ رَمَى بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا وَالَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ رَمَى الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Yazid said:“When ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud stoned ‘Aqabah Pillar, he went to the bottom of the valley and turned to face the Ka’bah, with the Pillar on his right hand side. Then he threw seven pebbles, saying the Takbir with each one. Then he said: ‘From here, by the One besides Whom there is none worthy of worship, did the one throw, to whom Surat Al-Baqarah was revealed.’”

عبدالرحمٰن بن یزید کہتے ہیں کہ جب عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ جمرہ عقبہ کے پاس آئے تو وادی کے نچلے حصے میں گئے، کعبہ کی طرف رخ کیا، اور جمرہ عقبہ کو اپنے دائیں ابرو پر کیا، پھر سات کنکریاں ماریں، ہر کنکری پر اللہ اکبر کہتے جاتے تھے پھر کہا: قسم اس ذات کی جس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، یہیں سے اس ذات نے کنکری ماری ہے جس پر سورۃ البقرہ نازل کی گئی۔
