كتاب مناسك الحج
Rapporté par Ibn ‘Abbas : Son frère Fadl était assis derrière le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) le matin du sacrifice (c’est-à-dire le 10 Dhul-Hijjah), lorsqu’une femme de Khath’am est venue et a dit : “Ô Messager d’Allah, le commandement d’Allah est venu pour que Ses serviteurs accomplissent le Hajj, mais mon père est un vieil homme et il ne peut pas monter. Puis-je accomplir le Hajj à sa place ?” Il a répondu : “Oui, car si ton père avait une dette, tu la paierais.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ الْفَضْلِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ رِدْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ غَدَاةَ النَّحْرِ فَأَتَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لاَ يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ قَالَ " نَعَمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ عَلَى أَبِيكِ دَيْنٌ قَضَيْتِيهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that his brother Fadl was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in the morning of sacrifice (i.e., the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah), when a woman from Khath’am came and said:“O Messenger of Allah, the command of Allah has come for His slaves to perform Hajj, but my father is an old man and cannot ride. May I perform Hajj on his behalf?” He said: “Yes, because if your father owed a debt you would pay it off.”

عبداللہ بن عباس اپنے بھائی فضل رضی اللہ عنہم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ وہ یوم النحر کی صبح رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ سوار تھے کہ قبیلہ خثعم کی ایک عورت نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! اللہ کے بندوں پر عائد کیے ہوئے فریضہ حج نے میرے والد کو بڑھاپے میں پایا ہے، وہ سوار ہونے کی بھی سکت نہیں رکھتے، کیا میں ان کی طرف سے حج ادا کر لوں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں، اس لیے کہ اگر تمہارے باپ پر کوئی قرض ہوتا تو تم اسے چکاتیں نا ؟ ۱؎۔
