Rapporté par Lahi’ah bin ‘Uqbah : J’ai entendu Abul-Ward, le compagnon du Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), dire : « Méfiez-vous du groupe qui, lorsqu’il rencontre l’ennemi, prend la fuite, et lorsqu’il s’empare du butin, vole dedans. »

Texte arabe original
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ لَهِيعَةَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْوَرْدِ، صَاحِبَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ إِيَّاكُمْ وَالسَّرِيَّةَ الَّتِي إِنْ لَقِيَتْ فَرَّتْ وَإِنْ غَنِمَتْ غَلَّتْ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Lahi’ah bin ‘Uqbah said:“I heard Abul-Ward, the Companion of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), say: ‘Beware of the troop which, when it meets (the enemy) it flees, and when it takes spoils of war, it steals from it.’”
Traduction en ourdou
نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابی ابوالورد رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ اس فوجی دستے میں شرکت سے بچو جس کی دشمن سے مڈبھیڑ ہو تو وہ بھاگ کھڑا ہو، اور اگر مال غنیمت حاصل ہو تو اس میں خیانت کرے۔
