Hadith 2797 — Livre 24: The Chapters on Jihad
كتاب الجهاد
Rapporté par Sahl bin Abu Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif, de son père, de son grand-père : Le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : « Celui qui demande sincèrement à Allah le martyre du fond du cœur, Allah lui accordera le rang des martyrs même s’il meurt dans son lit. »

حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْمِصْرِيَّانِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، أَنَّ سَهْلَ بْنَ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ سَأَلَ اللَّهَ الشَّهَادَةَ بِصِدْقٍ مِنْ قَلْبِهِ بَلَّغَهُ اللَّهُ مَنَازِلَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ " .
Traduction anglaise
Sahl bin Abu Umamah bin Sahl bin Hunaif narrated from his father, from his grandfather that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:“Whoever asks Allah for martyrdom, sincerely from his heart, Allah will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even if he dies in his bed.”
Traduction en ourdou
سہل بن حنیف رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جو شخص سچے دل سے اللہ تعالیٰ سے شہادت کا طالب ہو، اللہ تعالیٰ اسے شہیدوں کے مرتبے پر پہنچا دے گا، گرچہ وہ اپنے بستر ہی پر فوت ہوا ہو ۱؎۔
