كتاب الرهون
Rapporté par Ibn 'Abbas : Le Prophète (ﷺ) avait besoin de nourriture, et 'Ali l’a appris. Il est sorti chercher du travail pour pouvoir offrir quelque chose au Messager d’Allah (ﷺ). Il est allé dans un jardin appartenant à un Juif et a tiré dix-sept seaux d’eau pour lui, chaque seau contre une datte. Le Juif lui a proposé de choisir dix-sept de ses dattes ‘Ajwah (de haute qualité), et il les a apportées au Prophète d’Allah (ﷺ)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أَصَابَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَصَاصَةٌ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عَلِيًّا فَخَرَجَ يَلْتَمِسُ عَمَلاً يُصِيبُ فِيهِ شَيْئًا لِيُغِيثَ بِهِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَتَى بُسْتَانًا لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ فَاسْتَقَى لَهُ سَبْعَةَ عَشَرَ دَلْوًا كُلُّ دَلْوٍ بِتَمْرَةٍ فَخَيَّرَهُ الْيَهُودِيُّ مِنْ تَمْرِهِ سَبْعَ عَشَرَةَ عَجْوَةً فَجَاءَ بِهَا إِلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:“The Prophet (ﷺ) was in need of food, and news of that reached 'Ali. He went out seeking work so that he could earn something to give to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). He came to a garden belonging to a Jewish man, and he drew seventeen buckets of water for him, each bucket for a date. The Jew gave him the option to take seventeen of his 'Ajwah dates (a high quality of dates) and he brought them to the Prophet of Allah (ﷺ).”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک بار بھوک لگی یہ خبر علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو پہنچی، تو وہ کام کی تلاش میں نکلے جسے کر کے کچھ پائیں تو لے کر آئیں تاکہ اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو کھلا سکیں، چنانچہ وہ ایک یہودی کے باغ میں آئے، اور اس کے لیے سترہ ڈول پانی کھینچا، ہر ڈول ایک کھجور کے بدلے، یہودی نے ان کو اختیار دیا کہ وہ اس کی کھجوروں میں سے سترہ عجوہ کھجوریں چن لیں، وہ انہیں لے کر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں آئے ۱؎۔
