Hadith 2433 — Livre 15: The Chapters on Charity
كتاب الصدقات
Rapporté par Sa'd bin Atwal : Son frère est décédé en laissant trois cents dirhams et des personnes à charge. « Je voulais utiliser (son argent) pour ses proches, mais le Prophète (ﷺ) a dit : “Ton frère est retenu à cause de sa dette, alors rembourse-la pour lui.” » Il a dit : « Ô Messager d’Allah (ﷺ), j’ai tout remboursé sauf deux dinars qu’une femme réclame sans preuve. » Il a dit : « Donne-les-lui, car elle dit la vérité. »

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ الأَطْوَلِ، أَنَّ أَخَاهُ، مَاتَ وَتَرَكَ ثَلاَثَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ وَتَرَكَ عِيَالاً فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُنْفِقَهَا عَلَى عِيَالِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ أَخَاكَ مُحْتَبَسٌ بِدَيْنِهِ فَاقْضِ عَنْهُ " . فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ أَدَّيْتُ عَنْهُ إِلاَّ دِينَارَيْنِ ادَّعَتْهُمَا امْرَأَةٌ وَلَيْسَ لَهَا بَيِّنَةٌ . قَالَ " فَأَعْطِهَا فَإِنَّهَا مُحِقَّةٌ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Sa'd bin Atwal that :his brother died, leaving behind three hundred Dirham and dependents. “I wanted to spend (his money) on his dependents, but the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Your brother is being detained by his debt, so pay it off for him.'” He said “O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), I have paid it off apart from two Dinar, which a woman is claiming but she has no proof.” He said: “Give them to her for she is telling the truth.”
Traduction en ourdou
سعد بن اطول رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ان کے بھائی وفات پا گئے، اور ( ترکہ میں ) تین سو درہم اور بال بچے چھوڑے، میں نے چاہا کہ ان درہموں کو ان کے بال بچوں پر صرف کروں، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تمہارا بھائی اپنے قرض کے بدلے قید ہے، اس کا قرض ادا کرو ، انہوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! میں نے ان کی طرف سے سارے قرض ادا کر دئیے ہیں، سوائے ان دو درہموں کے جن کا دعویٰ ایک عورت نے کیا ہے، اور اس کے پاس کوئی گواہ نہیں ہے، آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اس کو بھی ادا کر دو اس لیے کہ وہ اپنے دعویٰ میں سچی ہے ۔
