Rapporté par Abdullah bin Mas'ud : Le Messager d’Allah (ﷺ) a été interrogé : “Quels sont les meilleurs parmi les gens ?” Il a répondu : “Ma génération, puis ceux qui viennent après eux, puis ceux qui viennent après eux. Ensuite, viendront des gens dont le témoignage précédera le serment et dont le serment précédera le témoignage.”

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرُو بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَىُّ النَّاسِ خَيْرٌ قَالَ " قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَبْدُرُ شَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ يَمِينَهُ وَيَمِينُهُ شَهَادَتَهُ " .
Traduction anglaise
Abdullah bin Mas'ud said:“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked, 'Which of the people are best?' He said: 'My generation, then those that follow them, then those that follow them. Then there will come people whose testimony precedes their oath and whose oath precedes their testimony.”
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا گیا: کون سے لوگ بہتر ہیں؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میرے زمانہ والے، پھر جو لوگ ان سے نزدیک ہوں، پھر وہ جو ان سے نزدیک ہوں، پھر ایسے لوگ پیدا ہوں گے جن کی گواہی ان کی قسم سے اور قسم گواہی سے سبقت کر جائے گی ۱؎۔
