Rapporté par Abu Mujalid : 'Abdullah bin Shaddad et Abu Barzah se sont disputés à propos du paiement à l'avance. Ils m'ont envoyé demander à 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa son avis. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، - قَالَ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُجَالِدِ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الْمُجَالِدِ، - قَالَ امْتَرَى عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ وَأَبُو بُرْدَةَ فِي السَّلَمِ فَأَرْسَلُونِي إِلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ كُنَّا نُسْلِمُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَعَهْدِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ فِي الْحِنْطَةِ وَالشَّعِيرِ وَالزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ عِنْدَ قَوْمٍ مَا عِنْدَهُمْ . فَسَأَلْتُ ابْنَ أَبْزَى فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Abu Mujalid said:"Abdullah bin Shaddad and Abu Barzah had a dispute about paying in advance. They sent me to 'Abdullah bin Abu Awfa to ask him about it. He said: 'We used to make payments in advance at the time of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and the time of Abu Bakr and 'Umar, for wheat, barley, raisins and dates, to people who did not yet possess those things.' I asked Ibn Abza, and he said something similar

عبداللہ بن ابی مجالد کہتے ہیں کہ عبداللہ بن شداد اور ابوبرزہ رضی اللہ عنہما کے درمیان بیع سلم کے سلسلہ میں جھگڑا ہو گیا، انہوں نے مجھے عبداللہ ابن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس بھیجا، میں نے جا کر ان سے اس کے سلسلے میں سوال کیا تو انہوں نے کہا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد میں اور ابوبکرو عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے عہد میں گیہوں، جو، کشمش اور کھجور میں ایسے لوگوں سے بیع سلم کرتے تھے جن کے پاس اس وقت مال نہ ہوتا، پھر میں نے ابن ابزیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سوال کیا، تو انہوں نے بھی ایسے ہی کہا۔
