كتاب الطلاق
Rapporté par Aïcha : Le Messager d'Allah (ﷺ) a juré de ne pas venir voir ses épouses pendant un mois, et il est resté absent pendant vingt-neuf jours, puis, la veille du trentième jour, il est venu me voir. J'ai dit : "Tu as juré de ne pas venir nous voir pendant un mois." Il a répondu : "Le mois peut être comme ceci," et il a montré ses dix doigts trois fois ; "ou le mois peut être comme cela," et il a montré ses doigts trois fois, en gardant un doigt baissé la troisième fois

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَقْسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ لاَ يَدْخُلَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ شَهْرًا فَمَكَثَ تِسْعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مَسَاءَ ثَلاَثِينَ دَخَلَ عَلَىَّ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّكَ أَقْسَمْتَ أَنْ لاَ تَدْخُلَ عَلَيْنَا شَهْرًا . فَقَالَ " شَهْرٌ هَكَذَا " . يُرْسِلُ أَصَابِعَهُ فِيهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ " وَشَهْرٌ هَكَذَا " . وَأَرْسَلَ أَصَابِعَهُ كُلَّهَا وَأَمْسَكَ إِصْبَعًا وَاحِدًا فِي الثَّالِثَةِ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that 'Aishah said:"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) swore that he would not enter upon his wives for a month, and he stayed for twenty-nine days until, on the eve of the thirtieth, he entered upon me. I said: 'You swore not to enter upon us for a month.' He said: 'The month may be like this,' and he held up his (ten) fingers three times; 'or the month may be like this,' and he held up his fingers three times, keeping one finger down on the third time

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قسم کھائی کہ ایک ماہ تک اپنی بیویوں کے پاس نہیں جائیں گے، آپ ۲۹ دن تک رکے رہے، جب تیسویں دن کی شام ہوئی تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے پاس آئے، میں نے کہا: آپ نے تو ایک ماہ تک ہمارے پاس نہ آنے کی قسم کھائی تھی؟! آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مہینہ اس طرح ہوتا ہے آپ نے دونوں ہاتھوں کی ساری انگلیوں کو کھلا رکھ کر تین بار فرمایا، اس طرح کل تیس دن ہوئے، پھر فرمایا: اور مہینہ اس طرح بھی ہوتا ہے اس بار دو دفعہ ساری انگلیوں کو کھلا رکھا، تیسری بار میں ایک انگلی بند کر لی۔
