كتاب الطهارة وسننها
Rapporté par Ibn 'Umar : Il a vu Sa'd bin Malik essuyer sur ses chaussons en cuir et lui a dit : « C’est toi qui fais cela ? » Ils sont allés voir 'Umar, et Sa'd a dit à 'Umar : « Donne un avis à mon neveu sur le fait d’essuyer sur les chaussons en cuir. » 'Umar a dit : « Nous essuyions sur nos chaussons en cuir quand nous étions avec le Messager d’Allah et nous ne voyons aucun mal à cela. » Ibn 'Umar a demandé : « Même après être allé aux toilettes ? » Il a répondu : « Oui. »

حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى اللَّيْثِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَوَاءٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى سَعْدَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ فَقَالَ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَفْعَلُونَ ذَلِكَ فَاجْتَمَعْنَا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ لِعُمَرَ أَفْتِ ابْنَ أَخِي فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ كُنَّا وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَمْسَحُ عَلَى خِفَافِنَا لَمْ نَرَ بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا . فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَإِنْ جَاءَ مِنَ الْغَائِطِ قَالَ نَعَمْ .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:He saw Sa'd bin Malik wiping over his leather socks and said: "Is it you doing this?" They both went to 'Umar and Sa'd said to 'Umar: "Give my brother's son a verdict regarding wiping over leather socks." 'Umar said: "We used to wipe over our leather socks when we were with the Messenger of Allah and we do not see anything wrong with that." Ibn 'Umar said: "Even if that is after one has defecated?" He said: "Yes
Traduction en ourdou
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے سعد بن مالک ( سعد بن مالک ابن ابی وقاص ) رضی اللہ عنہ کو موزوں پر مسح کرتے ہوئے دیکھا تو کہا: کیا آپ لوگ بھی ایسا کرتے ہیں؟ وہ دونوں عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس اکٹھا ہوئے اور سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ نے عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: میرے بھتیجے کو موزوں پر مسح کا مسئلہ بتائیے، تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ہمراہ ہوتے تھے، اور اپنے موزوں پر مسح کرتے تھے، اور اس میں کوئی حرج نہیں سمجھتے تھے، ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا: خواہ کوئی بیت الخلاء سے آئے؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔
