كتاب الطهارة وسننها
Rapporté par Jabir bin ‘Abdullah : Nous sommes arrivés près d’un bassin où il y avait la carcasse d’un âne, alors nous avons hésité à utiliser l’eau jusqu’à ce que le Messager d’Allah vienne vers nous et dise : "L’eau n’est rendue impure par rien." Alors nous en avons bu, nous en avons donné à nos animaux, et nous en avons emporté avec nous

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ طَرِيفِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى غَدِيرٍ فَإِذَا فِيهِ جِيفَةُ حِمَارٍ . قَالَ فَكَفَفْنَا عَنْهُ حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ الْمَاءَ لاَ يُنَجِّسُهُ شَىْءٌ " . فَاسْتَقَيْنَا وَأَرْوَيْنَا وَحَمَلْنَا .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:"We came to a pond in which there was the carcass of a donkey, so we refrained from using the water until the Messenger of Allah came to us and said: 'Water is not made impure by anything.' Then we drank from it and gave it to our animals to drink, and we carried some with us

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایک تالاب پر پہنچے تو دیکھا کہ اس میں ایک گدھے کی لاش پڑی ہوئی ہے ہم اس ( کے استعمال ) سے رک گئے، یہاں تک کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے پاس پہنچے، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: پانی کو کوئی چیز ناپاک نہیں کرتی ( یہ سنا ) تو ہم نے پیا پلایا، اور پانی بھر کر لاد لیا۔
