حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ يَشَمُّ ثَوْبَهُ فَقُلْتُ مِمَّ ذَلِكَ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " لاَ وُضُوءَ إِلاَّ مِنْ رِيحٍ أَوْ سَمَاعٍ " .
Traduction anglaise
It was narrated that 'Amr bin 'Ata' said:"I saw Sa'ib bin Yazid sniffing his garment, and I said: 'Why (are you doing) that?' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah say: "No ablution (is needed) unless there is an odor or a sound
Traduction en ourdou
محمد بن عمرو بن عطاء کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سائب بن یزید رضی اللہ عنہما کو اپنا کپڑا سونگھتے دیکھا، میں نے پوچھا: اس کا سبب کیا ہے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: بغیر بو سونگھے یا آواز سنے وضو واجب نہیں ہے ۱؎۔
